GeoTagr functionality can be split up in 3 main parts:

  1. Location recording
  2. Track management
  3. Photo geotagging

On the iPhone, there is a tab at the bottom of the screen for each part. On the iPad, location recording and track management is combined on the same screen.

If you want to geotag your photos, you have to keep track of your location during your photo shoot. It is extremely important that your digital camera and your iPhone/iPad are synchronized. Make sure the timezone is the same and that times are equal (preferably to the second). Note that you can also track your location with a separate GPS data logger and import a GPX file afterwards.

When your locations are recorded, GeoTagr can put the location inside the photos.

Note that in case you own both an iPhone and an iPad, GeoTagr makes it extremely easy to record your location with your iPhone and to geotag your photos on your iPad (e.g. photos imported with the Camera Connection Kit) thereby using the locations recorded on your iPhone.
